Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U have promised that pre-orders of Sony XPERIA Z2 will be delivered on time this month. However, according to a report, some shipments of the smartphone may face a 5-7-month delay.
The bad news comes from DigiTimes. The site reports, “Sony Mobile’s shipments of the Xperia Z2 have been affected by a shortage of some needed parts, which will force the vendor to delay the sales of the model in some markets, including Hong Kong, the US and the UK, by 5-7 months, said the sources.”
Since we haven’t heard of a 5-7-month delay affecting the XPERIA Z2 from Sony, take this with a pinch of salt.
We’ll update the story once we know more.
