Just recently, we came across an alleged render of the yet to be announced selfie-centric XPERIA C4 from Xperia Blog. Now Twitter account @upleaks, known for leaking information on yet to be announced smartphones, claims to have leaked a photo showing the actual device.
Although we can’t confirm if the device in the photo really is the XPERIA C4, it does look a lot like the render leaked by Xperia Blog. It too shows a massive selfie-optimised front-facing camera with a front-facing LED flash, which allows for snapping selfies in the poorest light conditions.
At this point, most of the XPERIA C4’s specs still remain a mystery. It is believed that the smartphone will sport a 5.5-inch screen and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, but we won’t be surprised if Sony bumps up the megapixel count. After all, a lot of selfie-centric smartphones these days sport 13-megapixel cameras. It will run Android 5.0 (Lollipop).
So when will the XPERIA C4 make its official debut? According to reports, Sony will lift the lid on the upcoming smartphone in May or June and launch it in July.
