A listing on the GFXBench benchmark database reveals the specs of an unannounced Sony device with model number “E6553.” The E6553 is believed to be the Sony XPERIA Z4 – Sony’s next flagship.
The listing reveals that the XPERIA Z4 will sport a 5.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Previous reports claimed that the smartphone would sport a 5.2-inch Quad HD screen (1440 x 2560 pixels).
As for the XPERIA Z4’s processor and camera, the lsiting reveals that a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2 GHz and four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and an Adreno 430 GPU will sit under the hood and a 20-megapixel camera, which is pretty much in line with what we’ve heard before.
Other rumoured specs include a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 32 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot (previous reports claimed it would not come with the feature), 3 GB of RAM, and a non-removable battery. It is said to be IP68-certified just like its predecessor, which means it can be submerged in a meter of water for as much as 30 minutes. It is said to measure 146.3 x 71.9 x 7.2 mm. It will run Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box.
