The Sony XPERIA Z4 has been officially unveiled in Japan. Early this month, a report claimed that the Sony XPERIA Z5 could launch towards the end of the year. Now, an alleged photo that shows the device has surfaced on Chinese-speaking micro-blogging site Weibo.
Unfortunately, the photo is a bit blurry and only shows a portion of the alleged XPERIA Z5. Fortunately, it does reveal a little about the yet to be announced device.
The photo reveals that the rear-facing camera will remain on the top left corner. It also seems to sport metallic sides. The Weibo post mentions “Type-C,” which could mean that the smartphone will come with a USB-C port. Additionally, the post shows the number “9,”which could mean that the Z5 will be unveiled in September.
Past reports claim that the Sony XPERIA Z5 will sport a screen (unknown size) with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD), an improved rear-facing camera (no OIS), Qualcomm’s Sense ID fingerprint scanner, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 CPU, and 4 GB of RAM. It is also said to come with an all new design. Unfortunately, the rather blurry photo doesn’t show much of the smartphone’s design.
Of course, we can’t confirm if the photo shows the actual XPERIA Z5, so take this with a pinch of salt.
