German-speaking SamDownloads has spotted three test units of the Samsung Galaxy S5 listed in Indian import/export database Zauba (screenshot below). So what’s so special about these units, they don’t run Android but Tizen instead.
Although this does mean that Samsung is testing its Tizen operating system on the Samsung Galaxy S5, it doesn’t mean that the Korean tech giant will be launching a Tizen-powered S5 just yet. However, with Samsung is testing Tizen on the S5, this could suggests that the Korean device maker is planning to launch a Tizen-powered smartphone with similar hardware as the S5.
