Samsung’s Galaxy A-series is the South Korean tech giant’s mid-range lineup, which started with the Galaxy Alpha and followed by Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, and Galaxy A7. It seems more smartphones will be added to the lineup as Samsung has trademarked the “Galaxy A6,” “Galaxy A8,” and “Galaxy A9” with the USPTO (1, 2, & 3).
Unfortunately, the trademark application doesn’t reveal anything but the device’s names. However, if the names are anything to go by, we’re guessing the A8 and the A9 will sport higher specs compared to the currently available A7. The A6, on the other hand, may be a device positioned in between the A5 and the A7.
Does this mean that the A6, A8, and A9 will soon make their debut? Sadly, there is a possibility that Samsung is just making sure that no other manufacturer uses the said trademarks. So they may never see the light of day.
