Alleged presentation slide leaks Samsung Galaxy S7 specs

Judging from the sea of leaks we’ve been coming across, it seems Samsung can’t keep the lid on its upcoming flagship the Samsung Galaxy S7. In a new leak, an alleged presentation slide reveals some of the specs of the said device.

Presentation slide

The presentation slide above was sent to PhoneArena “by an anonymous source who claims to be a Samsung employee.” The site also notes that although it can’t guarantee the authenticity of the presentation slide, it can’t “call it a fake” either.

Moving on to the information leaked by the alleged presentation slide, it reveals that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will feature a 5.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD). It also reveals that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will feature either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC or the Samsung Exynos 8890 SoC under the hood, depending on market (US and China are said to get the version with the Snapdragon 820, while international markets (including the UK) will get the version with the Exynos 8890. Both allegedly have done well in various benchmark tests. The slide shows that the Galaxy S7 will feature a 12-megapixel BRITECELL rear-facing camera, which is a larger sensor (despite its smaller megapixel count compared to the 16-megapixel rear-facing camera on board the Galaxy S6) that is more ideal for snapping photos and recording videos in low-light conditions. Lastly, the slide reveals that the S7 will rock 4 GB of RAM, which we have heard from past rumours.

The image of the Samsung Galaxy S7 seen on the slide is likely to be a placeholder, but, since past rumours have claimed that the Korean tech giant’s next flagship will look a lot like its predecessor the Galaxy S6, we could be looking at the real deal.

Of course, since we can’t confirm if the information shown by the presentation slide is authentic, take it with a pinch of salt.

If you can’t wait to get more accurate information on the Samsung Galaxy S7, you won’t have to wait very long to get the information you need, as Samsung is expected to lift the lid on its next flagship on the 21st of February at Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona, Spain. It is expected to launch its new flagship on the 11th of March.
