The Korean tech giant is expected to lift the lid on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, as the biggest smartphone maker in the world has sent invites to its “Unpacked 2014 Episode 2” event on the 3rd of September at IFA 2014 in Berlin, Germany. Rumour has it that a variant of Samsung’s next phablet will sport the coveted Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor, but we’re unable to confirm this. A new report is claiming to know for sure that the phablet will indeed sport the said CPU under the hood.
The news comes to us courtesy of Korean-speaking ZDNet Korea. According to the site’s sources, the Note 4 is confirmed to sport a Snapdragon 805 under the hood, as Qualcomm has reportedly given Samsung a discount on the chipset.
According to previous reports, the Note 4 will come in two versions. One will sport the quad-core Snapdragon 805, while the other will reportedly sport Samsung’s Exynos 5433 octa-core processor.
Of course, since this is anything but official, take it with a pinch of salt. Anyway, you won’t have to wait very long as IFA 2014 is less than a month away.
