Samsung Galaxy A5 and A3 pictured – sports aluminium unibodies

Spanish-speaking Twitter account Android Mexico has leaked photos of the yet to be announced Samsung Galaxy A5 (SM-A500) and Galaxy A3 (SM-A300) alongside the Galaxy Alpha. It reveals that the upcoming smartphones sport 100% aluminium unibodies.

Android Mexico has also posted a video showing the A5 and A3.

According to previous reports, the A5 is a mid-range smartphone that sports a 5-inch 720p Super AMOLED screen, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor with support for 64-bit processing, 2GB of RAM, and a 2300mAh battery. Dimensions are 139.3×69.7×6.7mm and weighs in at 126g. It runs Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) out of the box and is said to set you back around £248.

Unfortunately, not much is known about the A3 at this point. Judging from the photos, the device is around the same size as the 4.7-inch Galaxy Alpha. The A3 is said to support LTE and set you back around £217 to £248.

Samsung is expected to launch the new additions to the Galaxy A series in the coming months.
