Samsung lifts the lid on Galaxy A3, A5, and A7 (2016)

The Samsung Galaxy A3, A5, and A7 (2016) have been approved by both the US FCC and China’s TENAA, suggesting that the Korean tech giant will soon lift the lid on its new Galaxy A (2016) series. Now the devices have recently made their official debut.

The Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) sports a 4.7-inch screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels (HD). Under the hood is an Exynos quad-core processor with each core clocked at 1.5 GHz, coupled with 1.5 GB of RAM. Its camera combo consists of a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for snapping selfies and video chat. It features 16 GB of internal storage, with a microSD card slot for additional storage options. To keep the lights on, it features a 2,300 mAh fast-charging battery. It runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) out of the box. Colour options include Black Sapphire, Platinum, and White Pearl.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) sports a 5.2-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels (Full HD). Under the hood is an Exynos 7 1.6 GHz octa-core processor, coupled with 2 GB of RAM. Its camera combo consists of a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for snapping selfies and video chat. It features 16 GB of internal storage, with a microSD card slot for additional storage options. To keep the lights on, it features a 2,900 mAh fast-charging battery. It runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) out of the box. Colour options include Black Sapphire, Platinum, and White Pearl.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) sports a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels (Full HD). Under the hood is an Exynos 7 1.6 GHz octa-core processor, coupled with 3 GB of RAM. Its camera combo consists of a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for snapping selfies and video chat. It features 16 GB of internal storage, with a microSD card slot for additional storage options. To keep the lights on, it features a 3,300 mAh fast-charging battery. It runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) out of the box. Colour options include Black Sapphire, Platinum, and White Pearl.

The Samsung Galaxy A3, A5, and A7 (2016) will be available in China in mid-December. The Galaxy A3 (2016) will set buyers back around £237, while the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) will cost around £287. The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) is expected to be most expensive of the trio at around £360.

Samsung is yet to announce if the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016), Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016), or the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) will be available in the UK.
