Motorola has recently lifted the lid on its new flagship, the Motorola Droid Turbo. Among the Turbo’s powerful specs is a 5.2-inch screen with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels (QHD), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 2.7GHz quad-core processor, and 3GB of RAM. Various benchmark database sites reveal that the new smartphone is more powerful than other devices with QHD screens such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and LG G3. Quadrant (higher is better)
With Quadrant the Turbo is actually outgunned by the competition, scoring 21,739 points. The G3 scored 23,551 points, while the Note 4 leads the pack with 24,053 points.
AnTuTu (higher is better)
The Turbo leads the pack with 48,412 points. The Note 4 scored 41,185.33 points, while the the G3 scored 30,634 points.
Vellamo Metal (higher is better)
Again, the Turbo leads the pack with 1,814 points, while the G3 and Note 4 scored 1,322 points and 1,230.33 points respectively.
SunSpider (lower is better)
Here, the Droid Turbo comes up on top yet again, scoring the lowest 828.2 points. It is followed by the G3 at 947.2 points and the Note 4 at 1,087.87 points.
GFXBench T-Rex HD on-screen (higher is better)
It’s another win for the Turbo with 27.7 points. The Note 4 is at second place with 25.9 points, while the G3 is at third place with 20.7 points.
GFXBench Manhattan on-screen (higher is better)
The turbocharged Turbo and Note 4 are tied at first place with both smartphones scoring 11.2 points. The G3 scored 7.5 points.
BaseMark OS II (higher is better)
The Motorola Droid Turbo is a clear winner here with 1,297 points, followed by the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with 1,038.67 points. In last place is the LG G3 with 951 points.
So there you have it. When performance is concerned, the Motorola Droid Turbo is the fastest device with a QHD screen.
The Turbo is currently only available in the US via Verizon. Motorola is yet to announce if or when the device will be arriving in the UK.
