Previous reports claim that the SM-A500 will be a device just like the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. One of the differences is the SM-A500 will be completely clad in metal. The Alpha sports a metal frame, but the rear is still made of plastic. According to a new report, the rumoured device will sport a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and TouchWiz interface like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
The news comes to us courtesy of SamMobile:
We recently revealed that Samsung is working on three new phones in its Galaxy A series of smartphones, with the SM-A500 expected to be the first device that gets an official announcement. Our sources told us that the SM-A500 will have a full metal body and also detailed its specs, but the latest info received by SamMobile is suggesting that Samsung is currently making some changes to both the hardware and software. Apparently, newer prototypes of the SM-A500 are sporting a 13-megapixel camera instead of an 8-megapixel camera as reported earlier, and the latest TouchWiz interface as seen on the Galaxy Note 4.
Other rumoured specs include 5-inch HD Super AMOLED screen, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD slot, and a 2,330 mAh battery.
