We’ve been hearing a bit about a new addition to Samsung’s A series called the Galaxy A7 (SM-A700). Now the device’s specs have been revealed by benchmark database GFXBench. (Samsung Galaxy Alpha shown below)
According to the listing, the Galaxy A7 sports 5.2-inch 1080p screen, a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera, 16GB of internal memory (hopefully it also comes with a microSD card slot), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor with each core clocked at 1.5GHz, and 2GB of RAM. If these specs are accurate, the A7 will be the biggest and most powerful A series handset in Samsung’s roster.
Here’s a screenshot of the listing:
The listing also reveals that previous reports were a bit off leaking the device’s specs. Previous reports claimed that the A7 will sport a 5.5-inch screen, which is too big for some folks.
With these specs, don’t expect the Galaxy A7 to have the a similar price tag as the Galaxy Alpha. In the UK, the Galaxy Alpha will set you back £474.99 for the SIM-free version. Expect the A7 to me more expensive than that.
Samsung is yet to officially announce the Galaxy A7. Phones LTD will let you know once an official announcement is made.
