A few months ago, the Korean tech giant announced the Galaxy S5 4G+ for Singapore. The difference between this variant and the original S5 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor. The original S5 sports a Snapdragon 801 CPU. So what’s the difference between the two processors? Aside from being faster, the 805 offers faster LTE speeds. Initially, we thought the device would be exclusive to Singapore. However, it seems the device will be sold in Europe as the “Galaxy S5 Plus.”
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus was spotted on Samsung’s Netherlands website. How do we know the Galaxy S5 4G+ and the Galaxy S5 Plus are one and the same? The two share the same model number, which is G901F.
Other than the bump in processing power and LTE speeds, everything else is the same. The S5 Plus still sports a 5.1-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen, 2GB of RAM, and a 2,800mAh battery.
Unfortunately, we still don’t know if the Galaxy S5 Plus will be available in the UK or not, but since it has made an appearance in the Netherlands, it might just make it on our shores.
