It looks like we’ll be seeing smartphones from Samsung, as the Korean tech giant has just trademarked the “Galaxy J3,” “Galaxy J5,” “Galaxy J7,” and “Galaxy E3” with the USPTO (US Patent and Trademark Office).
Let’s start with the J-series. Samsung launched the Galaxy J back in December of 2013. It sports a 5-inch screen, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, and 3 GB of RAM. It is a high-end device, but not a flagship. Samsung is already rumoured to be getting ready to launch the Galaxy J1, and it seems the J3, J5, and J7 will follow soon after. The J-series, unlike the Galaxy J, will be an entry-level lineup.
Samsung Galaxy E-series is the South Korean smartphone maker’s mid-range lineup. It has lifted the lid on the Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7, and it seems the E3 will be unveiled in the coming months. Like the E5 and E7, we’re guessing the E3 will also sport an aluminium unibody.
Samsung said in the past that it would be cutting down its smartphone lineup. It seems, however, that we’ll be seeing more from the Korean tech giant in the coming months.
