Recently, we’ve been coming across a number of leaks involving the yet to be announced Samsung Galaxy A9 (SM-A9000). Now, according to Samsung, the smartphone will soon be available in stores. Well, in Iran at least.

Samsung Galaxy A9 listed on Samsung Iran – December 1 launch

The screenshot above comes from Samsung Iran. Aside from revealing the Galaxy A9’s (listed as SM-A900F) specs, it also reveals that the smartphone will be launched in Iran on the 1st of December.

As for the Samsung Galaxy A9’s specs, the listing confirms that the smartphone sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels (Full HD). This works out to a pixel density of 401 ppi. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 SoC, which is an octa-core processor with four Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz, four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.4 GHz, and an Adreno 510 GPU, coupled with 3 GB of RAM. This CPU supports 4K video recording. The Galaxy A9 features 32 GB of internal storage. If this isn’t enough, it also offers a microSD card slot (as much as 128 GB) for additional storage options. Its camera combo consists of a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera to take care of snapping selfies and video chat. Sadly, the listing does not mention the A9’s battery capacity, but it does mention that it is of the non-removable type. Colour options include white ad gold. Like other smartphones in Samsung’s Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A9 is clad in metal. It runs Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) out of the box.

It’s also unfortunate that the listing does not include a picture of the device. However, since the listing does say that the Galaxy A9 will be launched on the 1st of December, we’re sure to see more of the device in a few days.
