Samsung releases Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Note 5 hands-on videos

Samsung has listed the lid on the new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The South Korean tech giant has released a few videos, promoting the newly unveiled phablets. They won’t be out in the next few weeks (except in Taiwan), so until then check out these new official hands-on videos of the two.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 sports a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED QHD screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (pixel density of 518 ppi), a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with OIS (optical image stabilisation) and F1.9 aperture, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with F1.9 aperture, 32 GB to 64 GB of internal storage, no microSD card slot, a fingerprint reader integrated into the home button, Samsung’s Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor (four cores clocked at 2.1 GHz and four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz) built using Samsung’s 14 nm process under the hood, 4 GB of RAM (one of the first devices made by Samsung to come with 4 GB of RAM), and a non-removable fast-charging 3,000 mAh battery. Like the S6 and S6 Edge, it will support Samsung Pay, Samsung’s mobile payment service. It runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) out of the box with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI slapped on top. Like the S6 and S6 Edge, it is clad in metal and glass for that more premium look and feel. Colour options include White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and, Silver Titanium.

Only the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will be available in the UK on the 4th of September. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will only be available in select markets.
