The source also confirmed the specs we’ve been hearing about in past reports, including a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED 720p screen, a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera, 32GB-64GB of internal memory, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor in some markets, a Samsung Exynos 5433 octa-core processor in others, and 2GB of RAM. It will also come with a heart rate and fingerprint sensor.
Samsung is expected to lift the lid on the Galaxy Alpha today and release it in September. It is said to be a direct competitor of the Apple iPhone 6.
