Thanks to leaks, we know that the Galaxy A8 will be the thinnest smartphone to be ever offered by Samsung. Now, two new press renders of the device have been leaked, which show us the smartphone as well as its specs.
The renders above were spotted by @OnLeaks, a reliable source of information on yet to be announced devices, from Chinese e-Store Sunning, but immediately took the renders down. Fortunately, the renders can be found all over the internet.
First of all, the renders show off the Galaxy A8’s ultra-slim profile at a mere 5.9 mm. They also mention the device’s rear-facing camera – a 16-megapixel sensor with a wide f/1.9 aperture, a home button that doubles as a fingerprtint scanner, and a massive 3,050 mAh battery. Other rumoured specs include a 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, and 2 GB of RAM.
According to recent reports, the Galaxy A8 will set buyers in China back the equivalent of £315. Samsung is said to be gearing up to launch the device on the 17th of July in China. It is yet to be determined if the smartphone will be available in the UK or any other market outside of China.
