Earlier, we came across alleged renders of the Samsung Galaxy S7, which were leaked by a case maker. The leak also revealed that, aside from the regular Samsung Galaxy S7 and the curved Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Plus, there will be a 6-inch Samsung Galaxy S7 Plus. Now, CAD renders and a video of the rumoured device have surfaced.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Plus CAD renders and video
The renders show a device that looks a lot like the Samsung Galaxy S6. The only difference is a rectangular home button, instead of the rather rounded home button of the S6.
So far, aside from the screen sizes, rumours are claiming that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will feature a new 20-megapixel rear-facing camera that is more ideal for snapping high-quality photos in even the poorest light conditions. As for the processor under the hood, markets such as the US and China are said to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, while markets such as the UK are said to rock the Samsung-made Exynos 8890 SoC. The S7 is expected to feature 4 GB of RAM. Unlike the S6, the S7 is said to feature a microSD card slot. For better heat management, Samsung is said to be testing a variety of heat pipes. A USB Type-C connector is said to be on board.
Of course, since none of these are official, take this information with a pinch of salt.
So when do we get to see Samsung’s next flagship? The Korean tech giant is expected to lift the lid on the Galaxy S7 on the 21st of February in Barcelona, Spain, a day before MWC 2016.
