Lately, we’ve been getting a number of leaks that claim to reveal more about the unannounced LG Nexus 5X smartphone and the Huawei Nexus 6P phablet. Now, the former’s alleged press render has been leaked, showing us the front and back of the device.
Alleged Huawei Nexus 6P render
The alleged renders of the Huawei Nexus 6P you see above comes from Android Police, who has been actively leaking information on the two upcoming Nexus devices. Aside from showing us the front and back of the phablet, the renders also show that the device will offer speakers found on the top and bottom of the screen. The render showing the back of the device shows the fingerprint scanner, as well as a clack bar that houses the camera and LED flash.
Rumoured specs include a 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD). Under the hood is said to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2 GHz, four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz, and an Adreno 430 GPU, coupled with 3 GB of RAM. Storage options are said to include 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB versions. In the photography department, the phablet is expected to come with a 13-megapixel rear-facing and an 8-megapixel front-facing selfie-centric camera combo. It is said to measure 159.4 x 78.3 x 6.6 / 8.5 mm. Like previous Nexus devices, the Nexus 6P will run the latest version of Android. In this case, Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with no custom UI slapped on top.
Google has announced that it will be hosting a press event on the 29th of September. At the media event, we are expecting the Huawei Nexus 6P phablet to make its official debut. The LG Nexus 5X is expected to be officially announced at the event as well. Past reports have revealed that the two will be put up for pre-order on the Google Play store on the 13th of October. Alleged boxes of the two confirm that Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X will be the devices’ final names. Pricing is yet to be determined.
