Windows Phone 8.1-powered HTC W8 reportedly coming to US Verizon in Q3 – sports metal shell, BoomSound, and Duo Camera

According to leak artist @evleaks, HTC is planning to launch a Windows Phone 8.1-powered handset with US network operator Verizon in Q3. It seems this new Windows Phone by the Taiwanese phone maker will be similar to its current flagship the HTC One (M8).

The master leaker says on his website, “HTC W8 coming to Verizon in Q3, running Windows Phone 8.1 and based on the A9. Look for BoomSound and Duo cameras to make the move from Android to WP.”

The rumoured HTC W8 will be similar to the HTC One (M8) in terms of its metal shell, BoomSound speakers, and Duo Camera. However, @evleaks says that the phone will be based on an unannounced Android-powered handset called the A9. So it could look entirely different to the One (M8).

Of course, since HTC is yet to officially announce the HTC W8, take this with a pinch of salt.
