Nexus 9 now available for pre-order from Google Play

Finally, the Google Nexus 9 is now available from Google Play, after the tablet went live on Amazon.


Google recently lifted the lid on the new Nexus 6 made by Motorola and Nexus 9 made by HTC. However, It remained tight-lipped when it came to the devices’ release date and pricing. Now the Nexus 9 is available for pre-order from the Google Play store.

The 8.9-inch tablet made by HTC is available in two colour options: black and white. The 16GB Wi-Fi-only model will set you back £319, while the 32GB variant will cost £399. If you’re looking to get your hands on the 4G model, expect to pay more. the 32GB 4G variant will set you back £459.

Now that you’ve decided to buy the Nexus 9, you must be wondering when the device will be delivered to your doorstep. According to Amazon, the tablet will be delivered to you on the 3rd November. According to Google, the Nexus 9 will reach your doorstep “in 2 – 3 weeks.” In the US, HTC is also accepting pre-orders, but in the UK, the device is listed as “coming soon.”

If you’re not familiar with the Nexus 9, it is the search giant’s most advanced tablet. It sports an 8.9-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1536×2048 pixels, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera, a NVIDIA Tegra K1 64-bit dual-core 2.3GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, and a massive 6700mAh battery. Dimensions are 228.25×153.68×7.95mm and weighs in at 436g. Like all new Nexus devices, the Nexus 9 runs Android 5.0 (Lollipop), which is the latest version of Android, out of the box.
