We’ve been hearing a lot about the yet to be announced HTC One A9 as of late, and now we’ve come across leaked renders that show the smartphone’s colour options.
HTC One A9 colour options
The images you see above were leaked by serial leakster Evan Blass (popularly known as @evleaks on Twitter). The tweet allegedly shows the colour options of the HTC One A9, which is said to be known internally in HTC as the “Aero.” The colour options include “acid gold,” “opal silver,” “deep garnet,” “carbon gray” (grey in the UK), “rose gold,” and “cast iron.”
In terms of specs, it is yet to be determined if the HTC One A9 will be a high-end device or a mid-ranger, but the latest reports claim that it will be high-end.
Word on the street is, the HTC One A9 will sport a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels (Full HD). We’re not exactly sure how this screen will attract smartphone buyers, as people who are looking for high-end devices tend to look for devices with Quad HD screens (resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels), which a lot of today’s flagships have to offer. Under the hood is said to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor, coupled with 2 GB of RAM. Its camera combo is said to consist of a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 4-megapixel UltraPixel front-facing camera to handle selfies and video chat. The smartphone is said to offer 16 GB of internal storage. If this is not enough for you, it comes with a microSD card slot for additional storage options. To keep the lights on, it is said to come with a 2,150 mAh battery. Lastly, it is said to come with a fingerprint scanner integrated into the home screen. It is said to measure 7 mm-thin. If these rumoured specs are accurate, the device will be a higher mid-range device, rather than a high-end one.
So when will the HTC One A9 make its official debut? HTC has sent invitations for a press event on the 29th of September. We’re expecting the smartphone to get officially announced at the event.
It seems that the 20th of September will be a busy day for the smartphone industry, as Google will also be hosting a press event on the same day. At the search giant’s event, we’re expecting the LG Nexus 5X smartphone and the Huawei Nexus 6P phablet to make their official debut.
