According to previous reports, HTC’s next flagship will be the “HTC O2.” A new tweet, however, is saying that the Taiwanese phone maker’s next flagship will not be called the HTC O2 but the “HTC Perfume” instead.
The tweet comes from known ROM developer and leak artist when it comes to anything HTC-related @LlabTooFeR.
Remember reports about next HTC's flagship codename HTC O2? It's dead… HTC Perfume is next flagship. Android 6.1 and Sense 8.0_GP…

Aside from claiming that HTC’s next flagship will be called HTC Perfume (we’re not exactly sure if this is a code name or not), the leakster claims that the device will run Android 6.1 out of the box with the Sense 8.0 UI slapped on top.
Google is yet to release the Android 6.1 update. HTC’s Sense 8.0 is yet to be available either. The search giant usually introduces a new version of Android at its Google I/O event, which kicks off every June. If this new rumour is true, this would mean that the HTC Perfume is to be expected sometime in the second half of 2016.
Unfortunately, the tweet doesn’t mention specs. The HTC O2 was expected to sport a 6-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD). Under the hood was rumoured to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, coupled with 4 GB of RAM. It was expected to feature 64 GB to 128 GB of internal storage. In the camera department, the HTC O2 was expected to feature a 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera to take care of snapping selfies and video chat. To keep the lights on, a 3,500 mAh battery is said to be on board. Everything mentioned above could be on board the HTC Perfume, apart from the 6-inch Quad HD screen. Realistically, the Perfume’s screen size could be anywhere from 5 inches to 6 inches. Front-facing BoomSound speakers and a fingerprint scanner are also expected to be on board.
Of course, since this is anything but official, take it with a pinch of salt.
