HTC has officially unveiled a new high-end smartphone – the HTC One ME in China. The smartphone was expected to be called the “One ME9,” according to past reports. The smartphone is the first to sport the MediaTek Helio X10 CPU, a 64-bit octa-core processor with each core clocked at 2.2 GHz.
The HTC One ME looks a lot like the One E9+ and the One M9+, which sport metal frames and plastic bodies. The newly unveiled smartphone sports a 5.2-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD), a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera with 4K video recording capabilities and dual LED flash, a 4-megapixel UltraPixel front-facing camera, 32 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a fingerprint sensor, BoomSound speakers with Dolby Surround sound, LTE support, dual SIM support, MediaTek Helio X10 64-bit octa-core processor with each core clocked at 2.2 GHz, 3 GB of RAM, and a 2,840 mAh battery. Colour options include Meteor Grey, Gold Sepia, and Rose Gold.
The HTC One ME will first launch in China and other markets in Asia. Pricing is yet to be announced.
It is yet to be determined if the newly unveiled smartphone will be available in the UK.
