The HTC J Butterfly (HTV31) has just made its debut in Japan. It will only be sold in the country by Japanese network operator KDDI.
You may be asking yourself, what’s the big deal about the HTC J Butterfly? What does it have that the HTC One M9 doesn’t? Well, it doesn’t offer a more premium look and feel, as it is clad in plastic, but it is both dust- and water-proof. Both come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2 GHz, four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz, and an Adreno 430 GPU, as well as 3 GB of RAM.
What the J Butterfly comes with that HTC One M9 wish their smartphone has to offer is a 5.2-inch Quad HD screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (565 ppi). It also comes with a 20-megapixel rear-facing Duo camera and more powerful 13-megapixel selfie-centric front-facing camera just like the HTC Desire Eye.
Other specs include 32 GB of internal storage, a microSD card, and a 2,700 mAh battery.
Again, the HTC J Butterfly is only available in Japan via KDDI.
