We know that HTC will be hosting a press event at MWC 2015 in Barcelona, Spain on the 1st of March, but the Taiwanese phone maker is yet to confirm if its next flagship will make its debut at the trade show, until now.
HTC UK made the announcement on its official Twitter account. It said, “Let them stare. The new HTC One revealed 01.03.15.” Although the company confirmed its next flagship will be unveiled at MWC 2015, it is yet to confirm what it plans to call it. Word on the street is, HTC will be ditching the parentheses and will simply call its next flagship the “HTC One M9” not the “HTC One (M9),” like its predecessor the HTC One (M8).

The tweet also says that people will “stare” at the new One. If renders based on leaks are to be believed, then people will really stare in admiration at HTC’s next flagship.
According to past reports, the HTC One M9 will sport a 5-inch 1080p screen, a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor, and 3 GB of RAM. It will run Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with HTC’s Sense 7 UI slapped on top. If you’re disappointed with the HTC One M9’s 1080p screen, HTC is said to be cooking up a more premium version that sports a 5.2-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) screen – the HTC One M9 Plus.
