We know that the Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for the HTC One (M8) and HTC One (M7) is just around the corner, but what about the Taiwanese phone maker’s other smartphones such as the Desire Eye, One Max, Desire 816, One Mini 2, Desire 610, Desire 510, and One Mini? An leaked road map allegedly reveals when to expect the latest version of Android for your HTC handset.
The leaked road map comes from Viet-speaking HTCViet. According to the leak, the HTC One (M8) and the HTC One (M7) in the first quarter of this year (January to March), which we already know. The Lollipop update for the two smartphones mentioned above are expected later this month.
In the second quarter of this year (April to June), the Desire Eye is expected to get Lollipop treatment. In the third quarter of this year (July to September), the One Max, One Mini 2, and the Desire 816 are expected to get the latest version of Android. From the third to the fourth quarter of 2015 (July to December), the Desire 610, Desire 510, and One Mini will get Lollipop.
As for Sense 7, the Vietnam-based site says that HTC will start rolling out the latest version of their UI to smartphones after the release of the HTC Hima, HTC’s next flagship. The HTC Hima is expected to make its debut in March. It will run Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Sense 7 slapped on top.
Like any rumour, take this with a pinch of salt.
