The camera interface of iOS has always been an all-automatic camera, meaning there are no controls. Apple has slowly included the HDR photo feature, a high-resolution panorama, and other features in past updates, but it is yet to introduce manual camera controls such as ISO, white balance, and more. According to AnandTech, this will no longer be the case with iOS 8.
According to the site, iOS 8 will give you access to manual camera controls such as ISO, shutter speed, focus, white balance, and exposure. This will allow you to capture more stunning photos.
If true, then Apple may just give third-party developers access to its camera app. This will mean more new camera apps for iOS.
