In 2013, Apple released an ad for the holiday season, showing a boy thought to be spending too much time on his iPhone during a family reunion. At first, one would think that the ad was showing a typical youngster being disrespectful and doesn’t care about anything but his gadget. It turns out that the boy was editing a video to show to the rest of the family. The heartwarming ad won a Creative Arts Emmy for “Outstanding Commercial.” It seems Apple has done it again with its new ad for the holiday season.
The new ad shows a young woman using new iDevices (Apple’s iPhone 6, iPad Air 2, and Mac Book) to create a remade duet that her grandmother recorded for her grandfather when they were younger. The young woman stores the remade duet in an iPad Mini 3 and leaves it on the table for her grandmother to listen to. The grandmother’s reaction is priceless. You can check out the ad below.
