Bank of America tells US customers to ‘get smart’ with Apple Pay

Bank of America is telling customers in the US to “get smart” by using Apple Pay on their iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Bank of America has launched a new 30-second ad, featuring Apple Pay. The add seems to be take off on the classic TV series Get Smart intro, hence the hidden message.

Here’s the ad:

Apple Pay can only be used by Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 owners. Despite this, the mobile payment service still managed to capture 1% of the mobile payment market in the US after only one month of availability.

Apple Pay is rumoured to launch in the UK in the first half of 2015. Why so late? According to reports, Banks in the UK are still having concerns with the payment options. Although they still have concerns, banks over at our shores are said to recognise Apple Pay’s business potential.

Looking forward to the launch of Apple Pay in the UK? Do you think using the mobile payment service is a smart choice, or do you think that it is still too risky? Drop a comment on our Phones LTD Facebook page.
