Apple Watch to require daily charging – may improve battery life before launch

Word on the street is that the Apple Watch’s battery life only lasts around a day. An Apple spokeswoman speaking to Re/code didn’t really say how long the wearable’s battery will last, but said that it would require “nightly” charging.

Apple spokeswoman Nat Kerris said:

There’s a lot of new technology packed into Apple Watch and we think people will love using it throughout the day. We anticipate that people will charge nightly, which is why we designed an innovative charging solution that combines our MagSafe technology and inductive charging.

A source told the site that Apple isn’t happy at all at the Apple Watch’s battery life and is looking to improve it before the smartwatch’s launch in early 2015.
