Apple is expected to launch follow-ups to the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus later this year – the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus. According to a new report, the upcoming iPhones will be available in a new unusual colour option (render shown below).
The news comes to us courtesy of Wall Street Journal. According to business news agency, Apple is “testing” a new colour option for its next iPhones. The colour options are likely to include the usual grey, silver, and gold. The fourth colour option is said to be pink, which is unusual for Apple.
WSJ adds that the size of the upcoming iPhones will not change. This means that the iPhone 6S will measure 4.7 inches, while the iPhone 6S Plus will measure 5.5 inches.
Lastly, WSJ says that the next iPhones will come with Force Touch, new tech found on board the Apple Watch and the latest MacBook. It will allow the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus to differentiate light taps from hard presses, which means that the next iPhones will probably offer new features that are currently not available.
Speaking about the smartphones’ production, WSJ says that the mass production of the iPhone 6S’ and the iPhone 6S Plus’ components should start in May. This points to the usual launch date of September.
