We’ve heard from past reports that the LG G4 will sport a curved screen. We’ve seen the leaked renders of the yet to be unveiled smartphone, but couldn’t really tell if the screen was curved of not. Now a new report is saying that the smartphone’s screen will be slightly curved.
The new rumour comes to us courtesy of BusinessKorea. According to the site, “The G4 will also be the first domestic smartphone with a real leather cover, which is designed to give feelings of exclusivity and classic styling compared to existing metal smartphones. It also has a curved screen with a curvature of r3000.” This translates to a curvature radius of 3,000 mm.
Is the rumour accurate? Unfortunately, we can’t confirm if it’s accurate or not, but it is highly likely, since mid-range LG-made smartphones such as the LG Magna and the LG Sprint come with screens with a 3,000 mm curvature.
The LG G4’s rumoured specs include a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD) (pixel density of 534 ppi), a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/1.8 aperture, dual LED flash, and OIS (optical image stabilisation), an 8-megapixel selfie-centric front-facing camera, 32 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot (as much as 128 GB), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor with four ARM Cortex-A53 and two ARM Cortex-A57 cores, an Adreno 418 GPU, 4 GB of RAM, a 3,000 mAh battery, and a fingerprint scanner found on the back of the device. It will run Android 5.0 (Lollipop). It is said to measure 149.1 × 75.3 × 8.9 mm.
The LG G4 will make its debut on the 28th of April.
