In the UK, the LG G3 is available in three colour options. These include Metallic Black, Shine Gold, and Silk White. Apparently, there is a “Blue Steel” variant, which is listed on US retailer Best Buy (1, 2, & 3).
You may be thinking that this Blue Steel variant will be exclusive to a US carrier, but it’s not. Best Buy is offering variants for network operators AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon.
Aside from the new paint job, everything else under the hood remains the same. These include a 5.5-inch Quad HD screen, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with laser auto focus, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor with each core clocked at 2.5GHz, and a 3000mAh battery.
LG has announced that it will be rolling out Android 5.0 (Lollipop) to the LG G3 this week. Sadly, this Blue Steel variant, like other versions, runs Android 4.4 (KitKat) out of the box.
LG is yet to announce if the LG G3 Blue Steel will be available in the UK.
