An Android Central forum member received an email Unlocked-Mobiles telling him that the Sony XPERIA Z2 he pre-ordered from the retailer will be delayed until May. So if you pre-ordered Sony’s new flagship, you may be facing the same situation. The good news is this will not be the case for everybody who has pre-ordered the device.
In a statement sent to Android Central, Sony says:
“Xperia Z2 will be available in the UK during April and we are expecting to deliver to all consumers who have placed a pre-order through our key partners. We are working tirelessly to maximise stock levels in April but currently we do not expect to meet the high demand across all our sales channels. Please stay tuned for further information and confirmed retail availability.”
This simply means that most people who have pre-ordered the Sony XPERIA Z2 will get the device on time. The stock issues will only affect some customers.
Did you pre-order the Sony XPERIA Z2? Did you get an email saying your device’s delivery will be delayed, or are you expecting your new smartphone to arrive on time? Let us know through a comment on our Phones LTD Facebook page.
