Sony has been releasing two flagships every year. With the XPERIA Z4/Z3 Plus out in the market, it is now time to focus on the Japanese smartphone maker’s upcoming flagship – the XPERIA Z5. Now, a photo of what is claimed to be the XPERIA Z5 and XPERIA Z5 Compact alongside the Apple iPhone 6 has surfaced on Twitter.
The photo you see above was leaked by leakster ViziLeaks. Aside from showing unannounced XPERIA Z5 and the XPERIA Z5 Compact, the photos also show that the two will come with a fingerprint scanner.
Unfortunately, not much is known about the two. All we’ve been hearing is that Sony’s new flagship will sport Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor under the hood, which will likely drive consumers away.
The XPERIA Z4/Z3 Plus comes with the Snapdragon 810 CPU under the hood, which created a lot of problems for users. Reports and videos have shows that the processor causes a number of overheating issues, which end up crashing the smartphone.
We’re hoping this will not be the same case with the XPERIA Z5 and the XPERIA Z5 Compact.
Of course, since there’s no way for us to confirm if the photo shows the real deal, take it with a pinch of salt.
