Certified Sony update could fix overheating issues of XPERIA Z3 Plus and XPERIA Z4 Tablet

The Sony XPERIA Z3 Plus and the Sony XPERIA Z4 Tablet both suffer from overheating issues caused by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor. The PTCRB has certified a Sony update for the two devices, which could solve the overheating issues of the two.

The update certification was first spotted by Xperia Blog. It reveals that the XPERIA Z3 Plus (E6553) and the XPERIA Z4 Tablet (SGP771) will be getting an update (build number 28.0.A.7.24), which could solve the overheating issues of the two devices caused by the Snapdragon 810 CPU. The current firmware version of the two is 28.0.A.6.8.

Sony is expected to roll out a software update that will fix the overheating issues of the two devices, according to past reports, but it is yet to be determined if this is the update that will fix the issue, and when Sony is planning to roll it out.
