Remember Verus, the case maker that leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy S6? The question is, do these renders show the real deal or not? According to the company, its renders show the real deal with the device’s exact dimensions.
The news comes to us courtesy of PhoneArena, with Verus telling the site that the renders show the Samsung Galaxy S6’s exact dimensions. It reports, “Verus claims that these are the actual dimensions of the Galaxy S6 (not that you can tell much from a render) and we’re given to understand that whatever parts of the device itself are visible are supposedly the real deal. Apparently, these details were obtained from “a credible source” by the company’s South Korea-based team.” PhoneArena says that case maker Spigen says the same thing.
If what the two case makers are saying is true, this would mean that Samsung has moved the location of the LED flash and heart rate monitor to the side of the camera unit. Additionally, it reveals that Samsung has opted for separate volume up and down buttons instead of the usual volume rocker on the left hand side. The camera also protrudes more out of the chassis, suggesting an extremely thin profile. According to reports, the S6 will be 7.19 mm thin.
Of course, there’s no way for us to confirm if Verus’ Samsung Galaxy S6 render shows us the real deal or not. The good news is, we won’t have to wait very long to find out, as the Korean tech giant is expected to lift the lid on their next flagship at MWC 2015, which kicks off in Barcelona, Spain on the 1st of March.
