Tweet reveals when Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, S4, Note 3, and Alpha will get Lollipop

A tweet has revealed when the Korean tech giant is planning to roll out the Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and Samsung Galaxy Alpha.

Before anything else, the tweet comes from Danny Dorresteijn, founder of reliable Samsung insider SamMobile. Normally, we’d tell you to take unconfirmed information with a pinch of salt, but with SamMobile having a reputation for being accurate time and time again, we’re pretty sure they’re right on the button once again.

Speaking about the Galaxy Note Edge, Dorresteijn tweets that the Lollipop update for the phablet will be pushed out sometime in February.

As for the Galaxy S4, Note 3, and Alpha, Dorresteijn tweets to expect the latest version of Android to roll out to the said devices sometime in the first quarter of next year. This means some time in between January to March.

Of course, expect the update to roll out to SIM-free devices before they roll out to devices tied down to a contract. Network operators subject updates to testing before rolling them out to their customers.
