Around a year ago, the Tizen-powered Samsung Z (SM-Z910F) was expected to be launched in a few European markets such as Russia. However, that never happened. According to a report, Europe may not have gotten its hands on the Samsung Z, but it may get its hands on the Samsung Z3 (alleged photo below) or at least the Samsung Z1.
The news comes to us courtesy of SamMobile, the source of accurate information when it comes to unannounced Samsung-made devices. According to the “information” gathered by the site from its sources, “Samsung is testing Tizen in all big countries across Europe, this could be a hint that the company is preparing Tizen for launch in Europe which could be put in motion with the upcoming Tizen 3.0 software.”
So which Tizen-powered smartphone will Europe get? According to the report, Europe may not get the Samsung Z, but it could get the yet to be announced Samsung Z3 (SM-Z300H) or at least the Samsung Z1, which proved to be a huge hit in India.
The Samsung Z3 is said to be a huge improvement over its predecessor the Samsung Z1. Rumoured specs include a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 8 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a Spreadtrum SC7730S quad-core processor with each core clocked at 1.3 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, and a 2,600 mAh battery.
Sadly, SamMobile didn’t say when the Tizen-powered Samsung Z1 or Samsung Z3 would be landing in Europe.
