We’ve seen the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Edition via teasers and press renders, but we haven’t really seen the smartphone up close, until now thanks to SamMobile.
So what’s the difference between the regular Galaxy S6 Edge and the Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Edition? Aside from bearing Iron Man’s helmet at the back of the device, the Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Edition is clad in a glossy red-and-gold nanocoating.
Aside from the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Edition’s aesthetics, it also takes advantage of the new theming engine in the S6 edge TouchWiz overlay to introduce an Iron Man theme by default. You can download the Iron Man theme for your regular S6 Edge.
Apart from these differences, everything else under the hood remains the same. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Edition still sports a 5.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (Quad HD) and a pixel density of 577 ppi, a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) (some units ship with cameras made by Samsung, while some units ship with cameras made by Sony), a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie-centric camera, 32/64/128 GB of internal storage, Samsung’s Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 2.1 GHz and four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz, 3 GB of DDR4 RAM, LTE Cat.6 (300/50Mbps) connectivity, support for wireless charging, and 2,600 mAh battery. The S6 Edge measures 142.1 x 70.1 x 7.0 mm and weighs in at 132 g. It runs Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box with a 64-bit TouchWiz UI slapped on top.
So how much will you have to cough up to get your hands on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Edition? It can be purchased on eBay for a whopping £1,609.
