Currently, the only Tizen-powered smartphone is the Samsung Z1, which is available in select markets such as India. The question is, when do we get to see the Samsung Z2? According to a new report, we’ll never get to see the Z2, but jump right to the Samsung Z3.
The news comes to us courtesy of Tizen Experts. According to its “Samsung Insiders,” the Samsung Z2 will not be the follow-up to the Samsung Z1. Instead, we’ll see the Samsung Z3 make its debut sometime in 2H 2015.
Tizen Experts notes that the Z3 will be more powerful than the Samsung Z1, which specs are nothing to write about. The Z3 is said to sport a 64-bit quad-core processor under the hood. This, however, means that the smartphone will not be as affordable. It could be a mid-range offering.
So when in 2H 2015 will we get to see the Samsung Z3? According to the site, the smartphone may make its debut in “a matter of weeks.”
Here are the Samsung Z3 rumoured specs:
|Processor||1.2 Ghz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-Bit processor|
|Memory 1Gb RAM||Storage 8 Gb Internal eMMC Storage|
|Rear Camera||5MP with Flash|
|MicroSD||Supports up to 64Gb|
|WiFi||802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz|

It is yet to be determined if the Samsung Z3 will be available in the UK.
