Samsung Finland once confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 would be among the devices to get updated to Android 5.0 (Lollipop). According to insiders, however, the South Korean tech giant is yet to work on the update for Samsung’s 2012 phablet.
The news comes to us courtesy of ever-dependable SamMobile. According to the site, “Our insiders reveal that there is no sign of Android 5.0 for the Galaxy Note 2. It isn’t in development and hasn’t even been mentioned yet.”
This doesn’t really surprise us, since, like we said before, the phablet has been around since 2012. Normally, devices this old do not get treated to the latest version of Android. This said, it won’t surprise us either if Lollipop never rolls out to the Galaxy Note 2.
So what this all mean? Since you may have gotten your hands on the Note 2 in 2012, your contract may up this 2015. This means that you might want to get your hands on a newer device, such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, if you want to enjoy everything Lollipop has to offer.
