Samsung has just lifted the lid on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus (the phablet version of the S6 Edge). Now we’ve got the phablet’s official specs.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus sports a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED QHD screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (pixel density of 518 ppi), a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with OIS (optical image stabilisation) and F1.9 aperture, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with F1.9 aperture, 32 GB to 64 GB of internal storage, no microSD card slot, a fingerprint reader integrated into the home button, Samsung’s Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core processor (four cores clocked at 2.1 GHz and four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz) built using Samsung’s 14 nm process under the hood, 4 GB of RAM (one of the first devices made by Samsung to come with 4 GB of RAM), and a non-removable fast-charging 3,000 mAh battery. It measures 154.4 x 75.8 x 6.9 mm, and weighs in at 153 g. Like the S6 and S6 Edge, it will support Samsung Pay, Samsung’s mobile payment service. It will run Android 5.1 (Lollipop) out of the box with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI slapped on top. Like the S6 and S6 Edge, it is clad in metal and glass for that more premium look and feel. Colour options include White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and, Silver Titanium.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will be available globally starting this month.
