We recently heard that Samsung was cooking up a mid-range tablet line, the Galaxy Tab A-series. However, we haven’t come across the tablets’ specs, until now.
The specs were leaked by SamMobile, a site renowned for leaking details on yet to be announced Samsung-made products. According to the site, the Galaxy Tab A and the Galaxy Tab A Plus will be the first tablets not part of the Note line to sport an S Pen. The Galaxy Tab Active comes with the C Pen, which comes with basic features.
The Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab A Plus be available in two sizes – an 8-inch and a 9.7-inch version with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels (4:3 aspect ratio). They will also come in Wi-Fi-only and LTE versions. The Tab A and Tab A Plus will sport the same specs. The only difference between the two is the inclusion of the S Pen and more RAM (2 GB as opposed to 1.5 GB RAM witht he ordinary version) with the Tab A Plus tablets.
Other specs include a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 16 GB of internal storage, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor with each core clocked at 1.2 GHz, a 4,200 mAh battery on the 8-inch version, and a 6,000 mAh battery on the the 9.7-inch version. The tablets will be extremely thin at just 7.4 mm.
Of course, since this is anything but official, take this with a pinch of salt.
