Dutch-speaking SamsungGalaxyS5abonnement spotted a listing on Zauba, India’s import-export website, revealing the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini (a trimmed-down version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 flagship) has entered the country for testing purposes. The site confirms the device sporting a 4.47-inch screen. The S5 Mini that entered India has the model number SM-G800.
Earlier, Samsung Finland’s support page confirmed the S5 Mini does exist, bearing the model number SM-G800F (“F” stands for Finland).
Back to the spotted listing on Zauba, this confirms earlier leaks, claiming the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will sport a 4.5-inch screen (rounded off) with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. Other rumoured specs include an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB of internal memory, a Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and a 2000mAh battery. It will run Android 4.4 (KitKat) out of the box and will be IP67 certified just like its bigger brother the Samsung Galaxy S5.
We still don’t know when the Korean tech giant plans to lift the lid on the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini, but since we’ve been coming across a number of leaks concerning the handset as of late, we’re guessing Samsung will unveil it soon.
