It looks like we will soon see the Korean tech giant lift the lid on the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini, as SamMobile’s “anonymous tipster” has sent the site photos of the handset pictured alongside its bigger brother the S5.
Like the regular S5, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will sport a fingerprint scanner and a heart rate monitor. It will also be IP67 certified, meaning it will be dust resistant and can be submerged in a meter of water for as much as 30 minutes.
Other rumoured specs include, a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, a 1.4GHz Exynos 3 quad-core processor, and 1.5GB of RAM. Features include Ultra Power Saving Mode and Kids Mode (also on board the S5) and will run Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) out of the box.
Rumour has it that the Korean tech giant will be lifting the lid on the S5 Mini on it Samsung Galaxy Premiere 2014 event in New York City on the 12th of June (tomorrow), the same event where the Samsung Galaxy Tab S high-end AMOLED tablets will make their debut.
