Samsung upped the ante, when it comes to selfie-centric front-facing cameras, by outfitting the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 with a wide-angle 5-megapixel front-facing camera. True, there are other smartphones that front cameras with larger megapixel counts, but the S6’s and S6 Edge’s selfie snappers have proven their worth. According to a new report, the unannounced Galaxy Note 4 will sport the same front-facing camera.
The piece of code you see above was spotted by Dutch-speaking TechTastic.nl. The screenshot shows the support page for the Galaxy S6 front-facing camera in HTML form. The page reveals that the camera is also compatible with two other devices. The two bear the model numbers “N925” and “N920F.” The are yet to be announced devices, and are believed to be the variants of the Galaxy Note 5. The page suggests that the upcoming phablet will sport the same high-performance selfie shooter as the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge.
Of course, since the Galaxy Note 5 is yet to be officially unveiled by Samsung, we can’t confirm if the phablet will sport the same 5-megapixel front-facing camera as the Galaxy S6.
